AKOLA: Eminent doctor Vedprakash Mishra, vice-chancellor of Datta Meghe University in Wardha said that day care medical examination, treatment and surgery in the field of medical science is the need of the hour.
Inaugurating the 4th national conference on Day Care Gynaecological Endoscopy here, he reiterated that day-care laproscopy surgery for hysterectomy and myomectomy system should have been adopted nationwide.

This system of surgery should be propagated in medical education at graduate, post-graduate and even in speciality hospitals, he said.
Mishra lauded Dr Rajesh Modi, gynaecologist and endoscopic surgeon from Akola who recently developed new but simple technique of acqua-dissection laproscopic surgery for removing multiple fibroids from the uterus of a woman patient by using the saline water during operation.
Noted gynaecologist and former health minister Dr Pramila Tople graced the occasion. Gynaecologists from all over the country attending the two-day conference.
Gynaecologist Dr Rajesh Modi demonstrated a new technique of surgery for removing fibroids. He explained the new technique to the attending delegates who showed evinced interest in the new method.
